Thrift Angel has been open since 2010. Gary and Jennifer Amsley purchased the business in October of 2013 as a family business. The business is operated by the family and gives the customers that personal touch. On the weekends or even in the evening, it is possible to see the girls Rita, Xia and Chloe working in the store. Gary enjoys working with the consignors to get them the best price for their items and working with the customers to bring them great deals at affordable prices. Gary is also a board member for the Golden Mile Alliance, helping to promote and foster growth on the Golden Mile. Jennifer is a Media Specialist with FCPS and very involved in our church Saint Katharine Drexel. Jennifer adds her ladies touch to it all. Don't forget the new addition to the store Jake ( the yellow dog behind the counter). Jake has become very popular at the store.
We also have help from the kids at the Success program for FCPS during the school year. In the summer the kids from the workforce program. They are a big part of Thrift Angel and we consider them family.
